Created: 19th century Material, technology: paper, ink and wash, watercolour Description: The drawing twice preserves the seal of Zalavár bearing the date 1598. One shows the imprint of the seal, while the other is an enlarged drawing of the same in ink. The patron saint of the monastery, St. Hadrian the martyr, is depicted in 16th century armour holding a coat of arms in his right hand and a flag with cross in his left. The essence of the composition recalls the image on the 13th century seal of Zalavár. |  |
