Fragment of a composite capital

Size: h: 32,3, diameter of base: c. 26 cm

Description: Approximately half the capital remains, with the upper and lower layers intact. The calathus of the capital is adorned with two rows of overlapping flat leaves. The area between the smooth-surfaced volutes is decorated with narrow annulets and bead moulding. Above the volutes are vines running upward toward the calathus. The corners of the abacus and its bisecting leaf decorations are broken off.
