Created: 1220-1230 Material, technology: red marble, h: 35,5 cm, l: 65 cm, w: 12 cm, diam. of cylinder: 8,5 cm Description: The details of two interconnected archs articulated with cylinders placed on inclined sheets can be seen on one side of this fragment of a smooth-surfaced stone slab. The stone is broken at the ends of the archs before they meet. On the opposite side the level is prepared for joining, half polished and half rough. The free-standing, asymmetrical slab could have belonged to a larger structure, an unglazed opening or the frame of a niche. | |
