Description: The altar is related to contemporary French architecture in its clean structure, fine ornamentation, and careful execution, and ranks among the best of Hungarian classical altars. Josef Schwartz was head of the drawing school of Pest from 1798 to 1823. He is known mostly for his altarpieces found in the parish churches of Kristina Town, Theresa Town and the Inner City parish church (all in Budapest).
