Created: before 1805 Material, technology: paper, coloured ink Size: 34.4 x 23.9 cm Description: The drawing represents a rather late work of the sculptor Nicolaus Mnich (Münnich) of Schwabenitz, who became a citizen of Sopron in 1769. His only known work is the tabernacle and altar statues of the main altar of Nagygeresd made more than two decades earlier, in 1773. The plan, in both its architectural details and its artistic execution, reflect a strong taste for rococo. Its prototype was the main altar of the parish church of Pápa. |  |
