Description: The six-lobed, bulging foot has an egg and dart perimeter and is adorned with repoussé, and chiselled pomegranate and tulip decorations and inlaid, painted enamel plaques. The stem is a simple contracting cylinder with an overhanging floral stem-ring. It has a baluster-shaped node with three foliated cartouches. Three enamel plaques decorate the reticulated, polished, tulip-shaped moulded basket. The cup has a smooth outward projecting rim. The enamel plaques depict the instruments of Christ’s passion. In the cartouches the indented inscription reads: NCS/ERNAT/ONY ABB/ASSC/RVCIS DE/TELKI. The year 1701 is engraved on the stem. Miklós Csernátony, canon of Győr and later titular abbot of Béla, was abbot of the Abbey of the Holy Cross in Telek between 1701 and 1706.
