Description: A full-length frontal standing portrait. The high priest is wearing a rochet and pileolus, a pectorale and the grand cross of St Stephen’s Order on his chest. His left hand rests on the arm of a chair, next to which there is a crosier. Kolos Vaszary (1832-1915) was a Benedictine monk ordained in 1855, elected arch abbot of Pannonhalma in 1885, prince primate and archbishop of Esztergom in 1891, cardinal in 1893.
