Created: around 1782 Material, technology: wooden panel Size: 31 x 17.8 cm Description: An apostle - possibly St Paul - with a long beard, clad in red garments and a snow-white cloak stands immersed in a huge book. In front of him, by the ashlars overgrown by grass, the letter h can be made out. Earlier it was presumed to be a German work. It appears to have been made after a series of engravings of the apostles, together with its pair. | |
